The Mobile Narthex Project
There is a new front door at your local parish.
The Need
Catholics visit your parish for the first time long before they ever make it to the physical narthex.
The new narthex of every Catholic parish is its digital presence. This is where wandering souls make their first steps back to practicing their faith.
Personally Catholic wants to help under-resourced parishes meet their parishioners in this new narthex.
Decisions about returning to the faith now happen long before someone reaches the front door of their local church. Just as Christ came to us, we must go to where his people are with the same message of welcome and mercy.
Pastor Welcome Video
We will have the pastor greet their parishioners at the digital front door of their church.
Parishioner Witness Video
We will introduce potential new parishioners to a brother or sister in Christ waiting for them in their community.
Professional Photography
We will reveal the beauty of the liturgical space with professioal photography to show people where they will worship.
The Process
All it takes is one weekday and one weekend visit to a parish to film and photograph followed by a couple days of editing.
The parish is given content needed to offer a welcoming presence in their digital narthex.
Webdesign tools and social media are now easier to use than ever. They are also more image and video based than ever.
This means the greatest need is not a web designer or social media expert but the content to place on the websites and social media platforms.
Let parishioners know that you care by meeting them with beauty and truth when they are making their very first steps toward your community in the digital space.
The Cost? Free.
Under-resourced parishes don't need another financial burden. They need a hand up from brothers and sisters in Christ instead of a sales pitch. It is, therefore, our plan to do this work at no cost the parish.
The Quality
We use the highest quality vessels available to us for the Eucharist as well as the highest quality materials possible for our physical churches. Let's offer our parishes the highest quality digital content to meet their wandering parishioners in this new narthex of the Church.
How You Can Help
Join the Team
Not everyone is a professional filmmaker or photographer. However, every Catholic who loves the Church wants to see parishes thrive.
Join our team by supporting this work financially.
Also join our team by recommending parishes who are ready to receive this blessing.
Finally, join the team by helping us on the ground to help structure our time together with the parish or parishes you recommend to us.
And by all means, if you know what aperture, shutter angle, shutter speed and depth of field are while also being in love with Jesus Christ and the Church... give us a call!
